Connection between the level of anesthesia and hemodynamic and heart rate variability
The work presents the analysis of changes of statistical parameters, hemodynamic and cardiac rhythm variability in dynamics depending on sedation level according to the bispectral index in patients undergone intravenous anaesthesia in painful endoscopic ...

Research progress on the depth of anesthesia monitoring based on the electroencephalogram
Electroencephalogram (EEG) can noninvasive, continuous, and real‐time monitor the state of brain electrical activity, and the monitoring of EEG can reflect changes in the depth of anesthesia (DOA). The development of artificial intelligence can enable anesthesiologists to extract, analyze, and quantify DOA from complex EEG data.

Improved Individualized Patient-Oriented Depth-of-Hypnosis Measurement Based on Bispectral Index
Total intravenous anesthesia is an anesthesiologic technique where all substances are injected intravenously. The main task of the anesthesiologist is to assess the depth of anesthesia, or, more specifically, the depth of hypnosis (DoH), and accordingly ...

The Impact of BMI on the Differences Between Drug‐Induced Sleep Endoscopy and Müller Maneuver
ABSTRACT Purpose To explore the differences in drug‐induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) and Müller Maneuver (MM) results and study the impact of body mass index (BMI) on these differences. Study Design Prospective observational study. Methods Forty patients with OSAHS were included in this study.

Abstract figure legend The ultrarapid delayed rectifier potassium current (IKur) has long been considered an atrial‐specific current with no functional role in the ventricles, despite evidence of its expression in ventricular myocytes. In the present study we challenged this prevailing concept and investigated the potential role of IKur in ventricular ...

Bispectral index-guided management of anaesthesia in permanent vegetative state.
A patient in a permanent vegetative state required general anaesthesia for dental surgery. Because of the uncertainties involved in the appropriate monitoring and assessment of the conscious level of patients in a permanent vegetative state, it was ...
