Incombustible resin composition [PDF]
Incombustible resin compositions composed of aromatic compounds were obtained through (1) combustion polymer material and (2) bisphenol A or halogenated bisphenol A and bisphenol A diglycidl ether or halogenated bisphenol A diglycidyl ether. The aromatic

Bisphenol A induces superfeminization in the Ramshorn snail Marisa cornuarietis (Gastropoda: Prosobranchia) at environmentally relevant concentrations [PDF]
Previous investigations have shown that bisphenol A (BPA) induces a superfeminization syndrome in the freshwater snail Marisa cornuarietis at concentrations as low as 1 μg/L.

Environmental chemical exposures and breast cancer [PDF]
As a hormone-sensitive condition with no single identifiable cause, breast cancer is a major health problem. It is characterized by a wide range of contributing factors and exposures occurring in different combinations and strengths across a lifetime ...

A one‐dimensional sp2‐carbon covalent organic framework with spatially segregated redox centers integrates a dual photosensitizing system and a cationic interface for synergistic photocatalysis. The material achieves exceptional palladium recovery (1749 mg g−1) and bisphenol A mineralization (0.1710 min−1) without sacrificial agents, demonstrating ...

Although the increasing prevalence of thyroid nodular disease (TND) has been partially attributed to the more frequent usage of improved diagnostics, environmental factors, such as exposures to thyroid-disrupting chemicals may contribute to TND and altered thyroid function.

Neuroplasticity and Healthy Lifestyle: How Can We Understand This Relationship? [PDF]
Our brain has this extraordinary ability to experience functional and structural changes before environmental stimuli, cognitive demand, or our experience itself. Exercise, diet, an appropriate sleep pattern, and reading habits are among those activities

An atomically dispersed Co–N4 single‐atom catalyst rapidly activates peroxymonosulfate to remove the antibiotic sulfamethoxazole from water. Common ions have little impact, but chloride dramatically speeds degradation by promoting a high‐valent Co(IV) = O oxidant via in situ HOCl–catalyst electron transfer.

Characterizing and Genetically Modifying Oscillatoria to Degrade BPA [PDF]
Bisphenol A (BPA) is becoming an increasing environmental concern. It is a hormone disruptor, and its presence in natural waterways causes some aquatic species to experience problems in growth, reproduction, and development.

This review focuses on operando studies of battery materials by X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and total X‐ray scattering (TXS). This work highlights potential pitfalls and identify best‐practices for operando studies and reviews some unusual experiments to illustrate how these methods can be applied beyond the evaluation of the early‐stage cycling mechanisms
