Bit-commitment-based quantum coin flipping [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2003
In this paper, we focus on a special framework for quantum coin flipping protocols,_bit-commitment based protocols_, within which almost all known protocols fit. We show a lower bound of 1/16 for the bias in any such protocol. We also analyse a sequence of multi-round protocol that tries to overcome the drawbacks of the previously proposed protocols ...

Quantum one-time tables for unconditionally secure qubit-commitment [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum, 2021
The commodity-based cryptography is an alternative approach to realize conventionally impossible cryptographic primitives such as unconditionally secure bit-commitment by consuming pre-established correlation between distrustful participants.

Unconditionally Secure Relativistic Quantum Qubit Commitment

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Quantum qubit commitment is a stronger version of the quantum bit commitment. It is impossible to realize unconditionally secure quantum qubit commitment in nonrelativistic domain.

Insecurity of a relativistic quantum commitment scheme

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
We propose a cheating strategy to a relativistic quantum commitment scheme (Nadeem, 2014) which was claimed to be unconditionally secure. It is shown that the sender Alice can cheat successfully with probability 100%, thus disproving the security claim.

An Optical Implementation of Quantum Bit Commitment Using Infinite-Dimensional Systems

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Unconditionally secure quantum bit commitment (QBC) was widely believed to be impossible for more than two decades, but recently, based on an anomalous behavior found in quantum steering, we proposed a QBC protocol which can be unconditionally secure in ...

A Secured Quantum Two-Bit Commitment Protocol for Communication Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Bit commitment is an essential primitive in quantum cryptography. It is the basic building block of many cryptographic protocols in which it provides security over distrustful parties. This paper proposes a secured quantum two-bit commitment protocol for

Arbitrarily Long Relativistic Bit Commitment [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2015
In an independent and concurrent work, Fehr and Fillinger [FF15] proved a general composition theorem for two-prover commitments which implies a similar bound on the security of the Lunghi et al.

Optimal Bounds for Quantum Bit Commitment [PDF]

open access: yes2011 IEEE 52nd Annual Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science, 2011
Bit commitment is a fundamental cryptographic primitive with numerous applications. Quantum information allows for bit commitment schemes in the information theoretic setting where no dishonest party can perfectly cheat. The previously best-known quantum protocol by Ambainis achieved a cheating probability of at most 3/4[Amb01].
