Bit Error Probability for MMSE Receiver in GFDM Systems

IEEE Communications Letters, 2018
In this letter, we consider the minimum mean-square error receiver for the generalized frequency division multiplexing system (GFDM) over frequency selective fading channels. We derive an approximate probability density function for the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio.

On the bit error probability for interference limited cooperative networks

2013 Australasian Telecommunication Networks and Applications Conference (ATNAC), 2013
We derive new upper and lower bounds on the bit error probability (BEP) of a cooperative cellular network. We consider a basic three-cell cluster with three users transmitting to three cooperative base stations. Different from existing works that only consider users within the cooperating cluster, we also take into account the impact of interference ...

Bit Error Probability Evaluation of RO PUFs

2015
Physically unclonable functions PUFs are crucial to the implementations of secure key protection and authentication protocol. Ring oscillator PUF RO PUF is popular for its nice properties of neat structure. The power of an accurate model to describe the characteristics of a physical system is beyond doubt.

Bit error probability of bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) in wireless environments

Proceedings. International Symposium on Information Theory, 2005. ISIT 2005., 2005
In this paper a union bound on the bit error probability of bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) is derived. In the derivation we assume that the bit errors in a codeword are uniformly distributed over the transmitted symbols. We derive the bound for BICM systems over AWGN, Rician and Nakagami fading channels.

On computation of bit error probability in communication systems

Proceedings of 35th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002
We consider the use of rational interpolants (RIs) for small error probability in communication systems. The idea is interesting since there is a possibility of significantly reducing the cost when evaluating new systems by mainly studying their asymptotic behavior.

On the Average Capacity and Bit Error Probability of Wireless Communication Systems

2011 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference - GLOBECOM 2011, 2011
Analysis of the average binary error probabilities and average capacity of wireless communications systems over generalized fading channels have been considered separately in the past. This paper introduces a novel moment generating function-based unified expression for both average binary error probabilities and average capacity of single and multiple

Bit error probability analysis of UWB communications with a relay node

IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2010
In this paper, the extension of cooperative communication to the context of TH-UWB is investigated. In particular, the average bit error probability (BEP) is provided for cooperative TH-UWB systems with decode-and-forward relaying protocol. In the considered relay network, UWB links among the nodes are modeled according to IEEE 802.15.4a standards. Our

Bit error probabilities in a two-rate communication system

IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2003. ICC '03., 2004
We examine a two-rate communication system where the transmission is suspended if the received SNR falls below a given threshold. We assume an FDD system and derive novel closed-form bit error probabilities in the presence of feedback errors in flat Rayleigh fading environment for single antenna transmission, orthogonal space-time block coding and ...

Computation of Bit-Error Probability Using the Trapezoidal Integration Rule

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1974
It is shown in this paper that bit-error probabilities for some typical digital communication systems can be accurately and efficiently evaluated using the elementary trapezoidal integration rule. Examples involving intersymbol interference and a Rayleigh fading channel are worked.

Bit Error and Outage Probability of Serial Relaying Communication Systems

2010 14th Panhellenic Conference on Informatics, 2010
In this paper, a study on the end-to-end performance of multihop non-regenerative relaying over independent and identical generalized-gamma fading channels is presented. Novel closed-form bounds for the cumulative distribution function, the moments, and the moment generating function (MGF) of the end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio are presented.
