Characterizations of some bivariate models using reciprocal coordinate subtangents
In the present paper, we consider the bivariate version of reciprocal coordinate subtangent (RCST) and study its usefulness in characterizing some important bivariate models.

Bivariate functions with low c-differential uniformity
Starting with the multiplication of elements in $\mathbb{F}_{q}^2$ which is consistent with that over $\mathbb{F}_{q^2}$, where $q$ is a prime power, via some identification of the two environments, we investigate the $c$-differential uniformity for bivariate functions $F(x,y)=(G(x,y),H(x,y))$. By carefully choosing the functions $G(x,y)$ and $H(x,y)$,

Abstract Although peer support is central to the social model approach emphasized in sober living houses (SLHs), no longitudinal studies have examined helping among SLH residents. This longitudinal study examined benefits of helping in three contexts among SLH residents. Data were from 205 participants entering 28 SLHs across 2021–2023. Interviews were

Bivariate Hilbert functions for the torsion functor
Let $(R,P)$ be a commutative, local Noetherian ring, $I$, $J$ ideals, $M$ and $N$ finitely generated $R$-modules. Suppose $J + ann_R M + ann_R N$ is $P$-primary. The main result of this paper is Theorem 6, which gives necessary and sufficient conditions for the length of $\t_i(M/I^nM,N/J^mN)$, to agree with a polynomial, for $m$, $n \gg 0$.

Neighborhood social environments and mental health among youth and adults in public housing
Abstract Neighborhoods influence health in part through social processes. However, little is known about how multiple neighborhood social processes co‐occur, or about within (vs. between) neighborhood variation in social processes and health. This study asked how residents of a large public housing development describe their neighborhood and used ...

Approximation power of smooth bivariate PP functions
Bivariate piecewise polynomials in \(C^{\rho}\) of degree \(\leq k\) on some triangulation \(\Delta\) are shown to approximation to smooth functions to within \(| \Delta | ^{k+1}\) if \(k>3\rho +1\). The argument makes essential use of the Bernstein-Bézier polynomial form.

Abstract Despite the heightened mental health challenges amid rising Anti‐Asian sentiment, Asian Americans have significantly underutilized mental health services, a trend that persisted even before the COVID‐19 pandemic. Although considerable efforts have been made to understand how various factors are related to mental health service use in this ...
