Long‐Term Follow‐Up of the S‐ICD: A 10‐Years Follow‐Up Study of a Large Single Center Cohort
ABSTRACT Background The subcutaneous implantable defibrillator (S‐ICD) is an alternative to transvenous implantable defibrillators. The present analysis presents real‐world data from patients with S‐ICD and a follow‐up duration of 10 years or more. Methods and Results Between July 2010 and November 2013 76 S‐ICD systems were implanted.

Strategies to Reduce Heart Failure Hospitalizations and Readmissions: How Low Can We Go?
It is estimated that more than one million heart failure hospitalizations occur each year. Systolic heart failure and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction contribute equally to heart failure hospitalizations.

This is the first report of the management of a patient with cardiac resynchronization therapy using leadless biventricular pacing. Successful retrieval of a 4-year-old Micra transcatheter pacing system (TPS) and reimplantation of a new Micra TPS ...

A Self-Paced Regularization Framework for Multi-Label Learning [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a novel multi-label learning framework, called Multi-Label Self-Paced Learning (MLSPL), in an attempt to incorporate the self-paced learning strategy into multi-label learning regime. In light of the benefits of adopting the easy-to-hard strategy proposed by self-paced learning, the devised MLSPL aims to learn multiple labels ...

The QT measurements after biventricular pacing, is it reliable?
Dear Editor, We read the article ‘Potential pro-arrhythmic effect of cardiac resynchronization therapy’ by Tayeh et al. with great interest [1]. The authors showed a significant decrease in QRS duration but significant prolongation in corrected QT interval after bi-ventricular pacing (CRT).

Integrating anatomy and electrophysiology in the healthy human heart: Insights from biventricular statistical shape analysis using universal coordinates [PDF]
A cardiac digital twin is a virtual replica of a patient-specific heart, mimicking its anatomy and physiology. A crucial step of building a cardiac digital twin is anatomical twinning, where the computational mesh of the digital twin is tailored to the patient-specific cardiac anatomy.
