On new regular quadratic Gaussian black hole: Photon sphere, shadow and gravitational lensing

open access: yesResults in Physics
Gaussian black holes constitute an important class of regular black holes, characterized by their spherically symmetric and static nature. These solutions emerge from the framework of Einstein’s equations, particularly when incorporating the effects of ...

Clean‐Limit 2D Superconductivity in a Thick Exfoliated Kagome Film

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports clean‐limit 2D superconductivity in a thick kagome system, analogous to the 3D case. It observes a drop in superfluid stiffness near the superconducting transition and a cusp‐like feature in the angular dependence of the upper critical field.

Tailored Reconstruction of Polycrystalline CuO Nanorods Promotes C─C Coupling in CO2 Electroreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling the polycrystallinity of CuO nanorods enables directional reconstruction into rod‐like structures that stabilize Cu(OH)2 and increase Cu+ ratios, while modulating interfacial water dynamics to enhance C─C coupling and boost C2+ product formation in CO2 electroreduction.

All‐Optical Electric Field Sensing with Nanodiamond‐Doped Polymer Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The photoluminescence (PL) of fluorescent nanodiamonds (FNDs) in a polymer‐based capacitor device is sensitive to electric fields. When an external electric field is applied, the PL intensity of the negatively charged nitrogen‐vacancy center (NV‐) increases, while that of the neutrally charged NV center (NV0) decreases.

Smart holes: analogue black holes with the right temperature and entropy

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
In analogue gravity studies, the goal is to replicate black hole phenomena, such as Hawking radiation, within controlled laboratory settings. In the realm of condensed matter systems, this may happen in 2D tilted Dirac cone materials based on honeycomb ...

Band Alignment in In‐Oxo Metal Porphyrin SURMOF Heterojunctions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Porphyrin core metalation in indium‑oxo SURMOFs enables systematic tuning of band edge positions without altering the crystal structure. First‑principles calculations reveal type‑I and type‑II heterostructures as well as multi‑junction energy cascades, establishing a modular strategy for exciton funneling and charge separation in optoelectronic ...
