Accelerating the Roll‐Out of Modular Plants: From Engineering and Approval to Operation of Energy‐Efficient Modular Plants

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
In the ENPRO REUNION project, a manufacturer‐independent modular plant concept was demonstrated by commissioning a pilot plant that integrated modules from different vendors and by expanding the module pool to include extraction and crystallization units.

Archival Nothing

open access: yesCurrent Musicology, 2018

In silico analysis of putative interactions identifies fibroblasts as hubs for cell–cell communication during early regeneration of the zebrafish heart

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The zebrafish heart regenerates upon injury. During injury response, fibroblasts and endothelial cells accumulate at the site of damage, and cardiomyocyte cell cycle reentry allows cardiac muscle regrowth. It is relevant to understand how the different cell types communicate with each other to coordinate regeneration.

The Black Notebooks: Implications for an Assessment of Heidegger’s Philosophical Development [PDF]

open access: yesPhilosophia, 2016
Does the recent publication of Heidegger’s Black Notebooks require a re-evaluation of his thought? In the present text we will deal with this question and reach the conclusion that a change of theoretical perspective on Heidegger’s work is indeed justified.

Hepatic Mechanisms and Therapeutic Target Underpinning Hypercoagulation in Obesity: Insights From Genetic and Transcriptomic Analyses

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
Obesity‐linked hypercoagulation is driven by fibrinogen overproduction in a specific hepatocyte cluster via IL6 signalling. Genetic and mechanistic studies reveal this pathway as a key target for therapies to mitigate clotting risks and associated complications in obese individuals.

Dignity's Dilemma: Categorical Objections to Autonomous Weapons and Their Pacifist Entailments

open access: yesJournal of Applied Philosophy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Dignity objections to autonomous weapon systems are prominent in contemporary military ethics, yet their theoretical foundations remain underexamined. This article reconstructs those foundations, showing what categorical dignity objections require to function as absolute prohibitions.

Characterizing Music Engagement and Reward in Individuals Across a Spectrum of Hearing Loss and Rehabilitation

open access: yesOtolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Hearing aids (HAs) and cochlear implants (CIs) improve speech perception for individuals with hearing loss (HL), yet their impact on music outcomes remains unclear. We examined music perception, engagement, and reward in a large cohort of individuals across various hearing conditions. Study design Cross‐sectional survey.

Digital surveillance of animals and nature recovery

open access: yesPeople and Nature, EarlyView.
Abstract Digital surveillance technologies (DSTs) are widely applied in nature recovery for their potential to generate novel data on species and ecosystems through digital tracking, automation (e.g. from hazardous locations) and from newly recruited citizen scientists.

The need for manual curation of the cotton proteome leads to a solution primed for undergraduate involvement

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Cotton is a global crop cultivated worldwide, yet a significant portion of the cotton genome remains functionally unannotated. Attempts have been made to automate this annotation but have been unable to completely bridge the gap. Human curation is still needed for accurate interpretations and predictions to be made.
