High Nb–TiAl Intermetallic Blades Fabricated by Isothermal Die Forging Process at Low Temperature
In this study, the isothermal die forging process of high Nb–TiAl (Ti-44Al-8Nb-0.2W-0.2B-Y, at.%) alloy blades was simulated using the ABAQUS V6.11 software and the blades were fabricated successfully.

Implementation of the blade element momentum model on a polar grid and its aeroelastic load impact
. We show that the upscaling of wind turbines from rotor diameters of 15–20 m to presently large rotors of 150–200 m has changed the requirements for the aerodynamic blade element momentum (BEM) models in the aeroelastic codes.

Structural Design, Analysis, and Testing of a 10 kW Fabric-Covered Wind Turbine Blade
Reducing the weight of a wind turbine blade is a major issue. Wind turbines have become larger in size to increase power generating efficiency. The blade has also grown in length to take more wind energy.

Influence of blade-to-blade dissimilarity on alleviation of helicopter blade-vortex interactions
This paper numerically examines possible alleviation of parallel blade-vortex interaction (BVI), experienced by helicopters in low-speed descent, through the introduction of blade-to-blade dissimilarity. A four-bladed rotor with two sets of opposite blades is considered, and the radius of one set is reduced to 80% of the baseline radius.

Analysis of model rotor blade pressures during parallel interaction with twin vortices [PDF]
This paper presents and provides analysis of unsteady surface pressures measured on a model rotor blade as the blade experienced near parallel blade vortex interaction with a twin vortex system.

Influence of blade aerodynamic model on prediction of helicopter rotor aeroacoustic signatures [PDF]
Brown’s vorticity transport model has been used to investigate how the local blade aerodynamic model influences the quality of the prediction of the high-frequency airloads associated with blade–vortex interactions, and thus the accuracy with which the ...
