Vibration supression for turbine blades
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1982A method and apparatus for suppressing vibration in turbine blading and the like is disclosed. A damping tube is inserted through an aperture in each of a plurality of turbine blades. By expanding the damping tube after it is inserted in the blades the tube is firmly secured to each blade.

Turbine blade vibration dampening
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1998The present turbine wheel assembly increases component life and turbine engine longevity. The combination of the strap and the opening combined with the preestablished area of the outer surface of the opening and the preestablished area of the outer circumferential surface of the strap and the friction between the strap and the opening increases the ...

Recent Blade Vibration Techniques
Journal of Engineering for Power, 1967The methods which have been used recently to predict the amplitudes of vibration of compressor blades are explained. Examples for resonances with maldistributions in the intake flow and downstream blockages are given. Two techniques of obtaining blade vibration data from the HP shaft of a two-shaft jet engine are described.

Vibrations of Cracked Rotating Blades
1992A rotating blade with a single transverse crack is considered. The proposed model is a torsionally rigid, non-pretwisted Bernoulli-Euler beam of extremely different bending stiffnesses. Two fields are connected by a local spring element characterizing the reduced stiffness of the crack region. The governing nonlinear boundary value problem is solved in
