Abstract Blade tip timing (BTT) technology is one of the most effective methods for vibration monitoring and health management of rotating blades. However, in actual applications, more blade vibration information means more BTT probes need to be installed, and the calculation of the expected arrival time (ToA) of the blade means the calculation ...

Blade to blade vibration damper
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1983L'appareil ci-decrit permet l'amortissement effectif de l'energie vibratoire des aubes. The apparatus described above enables the effective damping of the vibratory energy of the blades. Les concepts concernent essentiellement l'amortissement dit aube-aube en comparaison a l'amortissement aube-sol.

Blade to blade vibration damper
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1985Apparatus for dampening rotor blade vibratory energy in a rotary machine is disclosed. Concepts employing blade to blade damping are discussed. In one detailed form, a damper (52) is disposed to seat against the undersides of adjacent blade platform sections (20) and a seal (42) is spaced sufficiently close to the damper so as to be deflected ...

Vibration Analysis of Bladed Disc Assemblies∗
Mechanics of Structures and Machines, 1995Abstract The dynamic behavior of a bladed disc assembly was determined by developing a finite element model (FEM). The object of this work is to develop an understanding of the dynamic behavior of the system with respect to the various boundary conditions.

On the “Snubbing” Mechanism for Reducing Blade Vibration
Volume 1: 21st Biennial Conference on Mechanical Vibration and Noise, Parts A, B, and C, 2007Blade vibration reduction is an important task in high performance turbomachinery. One of the ways for obtaining this result is to limit the vibration amplitude at the blade tip by leaving a small gap between the shrouds of adjacent blades. In the vibration modes of the blade row in which the relative displacement between adjacent blades exceeds the ...

VIBRATION OF CIRCULAR BLADED DISK WITH IMPERFECTIONS
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2011The steady state response of a model of circular bladed disk with imperfection is investigated. Disk imperfection results from additional two groups of damping heads fixed on opposite ends of one diameter. These damping heads are introduced into the computing model as additional point mass, damping and stiffness.

The Vibration of Airscrew Blades
Aeronautical journal (London, England : 1897), 1922Airscrews are generally made of wood and owing to the relatively low Young's modulus of timber the blades of an airscrew have a large measure of flexibility. This flexibility is reflected in the comparatively low frequency of vibration of the blades with consequent undesirable effects.

Vibration Localization Analysis of Bladed Disk with Grouped Blades
Advanced Materials Research, 2010Vibration localization of bladed disk turns to be much complex when a number of blades are assembled into periodic groups. This work focused on natural frequency distribution and modal localization of bladed disks with grouped blades based on the lumped parameter models, and effects of the blade number in each group on natural frequency were studied ...
