Vibration characteristics study of bladed disk assemblies

open access: yes, 1997
Since most failures of rotating turbomachinery are caused by fatigue of their critical components - bladed disks, it is necessary to study the vibration characteristics of bladed disk assemblies in order to contribute to the successful operation of ...

Bio‐Inspired Gradient Coatings Enhance the Leading Edge Erosion Resistance of Wind Blades

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Rain‐induced erosion of the wind turbine blade leading edge poses a critical challenge to maintenance and operation. Here, we propose a bio‐inspired approach for erosion protection utilising a platelet‐reinforced polyurethane coating with a graded through‐thickness architecture.

Stabilizing Zinc Anodes via a Zeolite‐Induced Localized Supersaturated Electrolyte Interface

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A low‐Si/Al‐ratio ZSM‐5 (LZ5) interphase induces a localized supersaturated electrolyte interface on Zn, with a local Zn2+ concentration exceeding 10 M in a 1 M ZnSO4 bulk electrolyte. Continuous Zn2+ enrichment within the zeolite nanochannels creates an H2O‐deficient, anion‐enriched solvation environment, promoting rapid desolvation, uniform ...

Ultrafast Chemical Pre‐Sodiation of Pseudocapacitive CaV8O20 Anodes for High‐Performance Sodium‐Ion Capacitors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ultrafast (2‐minute), gas‐free chemical pre‐sodiation strategy using Na‐benzophenone is developed to compensate for initial sodium loss in calcium vanadate (CaV8O20). Driven by the Ca2+ ‘spectator effect’, the framework enables highly reversible, quasi‐zero‐strain solid‐solution sodium storage, explicitly bypassing destructive conversion reactions ...

Safety of Sodium‐Ion Batteries: Evaluation and Perspective from Component Materials to Cells, Modules, and Packs

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review provides a bottom‐up evaluation of sodium‐ion battery safety, linking material degradation mechanisms, cell engineering parameters, and module/pack assembly. It emphasizes that understanding intrinsic material stability and establishing coordinated engineering control across hierarchical levels are vital for preventing degradation coupling ...

Geometrical nonlinear computational analysis on an intentional mistuning of a bladed-disk

open access: yes, 2018
International audienceIn the framework of linear dynamic analysis of bladed disks, the intentional mistuning has been identified as a technological way for reducing the sensitivity of the forced response of bladed disks to mistuning induced by the ...

Breaking the Durability–Power Trade‐Off: Boron‐Directed Faceted O3 Cathodes for High‐Rate Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Boron‐oxide‐assisted particle engineering stabilizes O3‐type layered cathodes for sodium‐ion batteries by mitigating phase transitions and lattice strain. Acting as flux and structural modifier, boron forms submicron hexagonal platelets with (003) facets and expanded Na‐layer spacing, enabling rapid Na⁺ diffusion and mechanical resilience.

Vibration analysis of mistuned damped blades with nonlinear friction and contact

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control, 2019
In general, only in tangential direction, friction motion between blade dampers is concerned for vibration analysis of mistuned bladed disk. However, in practical, excitation acting on blades inevitably causes normal movement at friction interface due to

Application of Improved Dynamic Substructure Finite Element Model-Based State-Space Techniques in Mistuned Blisks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2020
Aeroengine is a complex mechanical equipment, and it works at high temperature, pressure, rotational-speed, and severe loads. One of the core problems is that the vibration and mistuning of bladed disk lead to failure and affect the safety and ...
