Hierarchically Rough rGO/HAp Nanocoatings on SLM Ti–6Al–4 V Implants for Enhanced Biointegration
This study investigates HAp/rGO bioactive coatings on Ti‐6Al‐4V fixation implants fabricated by selective laser melting with systematically varied volumetric energy density to tailor the as‐built surface state. Composite coatings were deposited by electrophoretic deposition and characterized using micro‐CT, profilometry, FESEM/EDS, and detailed XPS to ...

Control of City Shallow Buried Tunnel Blasting Hazard to Surface Buildings
Combining with the blasting test of an under-construction tunnel, this paper optimizes the overall blasting construction scheme. The optimized blasting scheme is used in the site construction test and the peak particle vibration velocity is strictly ...

Seismic evaluation of the southbound Stellenberg Interchange Bridge, B5593, in South Africa
Abstract This study presents a nonlinear finite element assessment of the seismic vulnerability of Bridge B5593, located in the south‐western region of South Africa. Previous evaluations identified a high likelihood of column failure; however, these were based on linear material models incapable of capturing damage evolution.

Analysis of critical failure depth of surrounding rock of roadway under blasting disturbance
Mathematical expression of critical failure depth of surrounding rock of roadway under blasting disturbance was obtained through elasticity analysis. On the basis, influence rule of roadway excavation radius, blasting vibration speed and cohesion force ...

Abstract Cold weather conditions impose substantial constraints upon the performance and long‐term resilience of concrete materials. Alkali‐activated slag (AAS) presents itself as a promising substitute, exhibiting sustained hydraulic activity even when exposed to ambient conditions characterized by low temperatures.

Spatial response and prediction model for blasting-induced vibration in a deep double-line tunnel
Excessive blasting-induced vibration during drilling-and-blasting excavation of deep tunnels can trigger geological hazards and compromise the stability of both the rock mass and support structures.

Vibrations from underground blasting
The Bureau of Mines has investigated vibration levels produced by blasting at four underground sites to establish how such factors as type of explosive, delay blasting, charge weight, and geology affect amplitudes of ground motion. A summary of the work is presented and the results of further analysis of the data are discussed.
