Estimation of age-dependent decrease in blastocyst euploidy by next generation sequencing: development of a novel prediction model.

Panminerva Medica (Testo stampato), 2019
BACKGROUND We developed a model to estimate the female age-dependent decrease in blastocyst euploidy and the impact of blastocyst cohort size on the likelihood of having at least one euploid blastocyst for transfer.

Antigenicity of the mouse blastocyst

Canadian Journal of Zoology, 1972
It has been shown that development of mouse blastocysts, transplanted to ectopic sites in mice, can be inhibited by preimmunizing the host against transplantation antigens of the donor strain. Similar inhibition can be produced by repeated transplants of blastocysts to extrauterine sites in one host.

Associations of blastocyst features, trophectoderm biopsy and other laboratory practice with post-warming behavior and implantation

Human Reproduction, 2018
STUDY QUESTION Are trophectoderm biopsy or other pre-vitrification features or laboratory practices associated with differences in blastocyst post-warming behavior (degeneration, re-expansion and live birth after single embryo transfer (SET))?

Blastocyst freezing

European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, 2004
Blastocyst are preimplantation embryos that have successfully passed the critical step of genomic activation and have so a high developmental potential, thus allowing to reduce the number of embryos transferred. Blastocyst culture and freezing have really started in IVF programs in the early nineties, when it was possible to obtain good blastocysts ...

Blastocyst Microinjection Automation

IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine, 2009
Blastocyst microinjections are routinely involved in the process of creating genetically modified mice for biomedical research, but their efficiency is highly dependent on the skills of the operators. As a consequence, much time and resources are required for training microinjection personnel.

On the orientation of the implanting blastocyst [PDF]

open access: possibleDevelopment, 1967
ABSTRACTThe sequence of events in the orientation of the blastocyst is described. Six a priori mechanisms for orientating the blastocyst are presented. It is concluded that the only mechanism fulfilling the available morphological and experimental observations is one in which the inner cell mass is free to travel round the inside of the trophoblast ...

Prostaglandins in Rabbit Blastocysts

Science, 1975
Rabbit blastocysts recovered at 144 hours post coitum contained the prostaglandins F and E-A. We suggest that one or more of these prostaglandins act as mediators in blastocyst steroidogenesis. (In another study we have demonstrated steroidogenesis in rabbit blastocysts).

Relationship Between Morphology, Euploidy and Implantation Potential of Cleavage and Blastocyst Stage Embryos

Journal of Human Reproductive Sciences, 2017
Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the morphology, euploidy and implantation rate of cleavage stage and blastocyst stage embryos. Setting: Institution-based, tertiary care in-vitro fertilization centre.
