Several herbal remedies have produced hepatitis in humans. The medicinal plant, germander, was recalled after its use as an adjuvant to slimming diets resulted in an epidemic of hepatitis in France. We studied the hepatotoxicity of germander in isolated rat hepatocytes.

Blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome: A rare cause of gastrointestinal bleeding and vascular anomaly in children [PDF]
BRBNS is rare systemic vascular malformation.This vascular anomaly syndrome primarily affects the skin and gastrointestinal tract, less often other organs such as brain, liver and skeletal muscles. We emphasize the importance of identifying BRBNS in patients with a history of chronic anemia and cutaneous bluish vascular lesions or blebs.
