Loss of Cell-Substrate Adhesion Leads to Periodic Shape Oscillations in Fibroblasts [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
We report the phenomenon of periodic shape oscillations occurring in 3T3 fibroblasts merely as a consequence of a loss of cell-substrate adhesion. The oscillatory behavior can last many hours at a constant frequency, and can be switched off and on using chemical agents.

Targeting CRM1 for Progeria Syndrome Therapy

open access: yesAging Cell, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of CRM1 mediated by selinexor, the first‐in‐class selective inhibitor of CRM1, mitigates the senescent phenotype of Hutchinson‐Gilford progeria syndrome (HGPS) patients‐derived primary fibroblasts. Targeting the Galectin‐7/TRPM2/Zn2+/DRP‐1 Signaling Pathway: A Potential Therapeutic Intervention in the Pathogenesis of SJS/TEN

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study investigates the role of mitochondrial fission in keratinocyte apoptosis in blister fluid‐derived exosomes from patients with SJS/TEN, erythema multiforme, and in healthy individuals. Galectin‐7 is upregulated in exosomes of patients with SJS/TEN and shows a correlation with disease severity.
