Comparison of blended wing body and tube-and-wing performance characteristics
AbstractThis paper quantifies the impacts of the airframe configuration change on the performance differences between a tube-and-wing and a blended wing body aircraft. Both are sized for a 5,000 nmi design range carrying 225 passengers, initially using the same engine.

Understanding youth preferences for a mentorship program for celiac disease: A qualitative study
Abstract Objective Celiac disease (CeD) is an autoimmune condition triggered by gluten ingestion that causes intestinal inflammation and multiple symptoms. Management requires strict adherence to a gluten‐free diet (GFD), yet youth with CeD on a GFD report lower quality of life (QoL) and higher rates of depression and anxiety.

Blended Wing Body Design in UNICADO
Abstract This paper presents a sizing and design methodology for the conceptual phase of blended wing body (BWB) aircraft. The proposed design framework provides a sized and trimmed lifting body with predefined longitudinal stability. Starting from a specified sizing point and cabin geometry, a four-segment lifting body planform is constructed.

Using art history to explore society's changing connections with agriculture
Food insecurity is a looming challenge that especially affects those least fortunate. Consumer food choices have a substantial impact on the sustainability of current food systems. Here, we use art as a lens through which to consider our contemporary and historical relationship to one of the world's most crucial crops, the potato, in the context of the

Queensland fruit fly pupae tolerate hypoxia up to 2 days without compromising quality. Prolonged hypoxia, especially at 25 °C, reduces emergence and flight ability. Storage at 18 °C is recommended. Abstract BACKGROUND The sterile insect technique is used to eradicate outbreaks of Queensland fruit fly (Q‐fly) Bactrocera tryoni (Froggatt) in fruit‐fly ...
