Oxygen‐Tunnel Indium Tin Oxide Vertical Channel Transistors with Enhanced Current Density and Reliability for Monolithic 3D Compute‐In‐Memory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection

Receptor‐Free Identification of Toxic Gases Enabled by Hygroscopic Aqueous Salt Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Water as a gas sensor coating sounds impossible—until it stops evaporating. Here, hygroscopic salt solutions (LiCl, LiBr, H3PO4) form non‐drying aqueous films on CNT chemiresistors under ambient air. Gases partition into these liquid layers, sometimes transforming into water, and generate salt‐specific resistance fingerprints across a four‐channel ...

The role of conceptual blending in the meaning construction of the Portuguese hedge “um tipo de”

open access: yesGragoatá, 2006
Based on Mental Space Theory, the main purpose of this article is to verify the role that conceptual blending plays in meaning construction of Portuguese hedge um tipo de. Analysing sentences containing that hedge, we conclude that the meaning of um tipo

Blending two cones with Dupin cyclides

open access: yes, 1998
This paper presents a complete theory of blending cones with Dupin cyclides and consists of four major contributions. First, a necessary and sufficient condition for two cones to have a blending Dupin cyclide is established.

Regulated Ion‐Diffusion Hydrogels for Subtle and Multimodal Temperature‐Strain Sensing in Wound Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A soft, dual‐channel hydrogel patch enables simultaneous detection of wound temperature and strain by integrating ion‐diffusion‐mediated thermoelectric and resistive sensing. The conformal design maintains stable performance during motion, capturing subtle inflammatory and mechanical changes for continuous wound monitoring.

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,

Conceptual blending in advertising

open access: yes
Conceptual blending occurs at the moment of perception and creates new meanings out of existing ways of thinking. Analysis of data collected in phenomenological interviews reveals the blending processes consumers use to "make sense" of advertisements. We

Coal blending model : theory and application of the model

open access: yes, 1988
Over the past decade, most Western Canadian coal mines have been forced to mine deposits containing multiple seams of coal, with varying coal qualities.

Online Meaning Construction of Chinese Net Words From Japanese: On the Basis of Conceptual Blending Theory

open access: yes, 2016
From the perspective of Conceptual Blending Theory, this paper tries to analyze the online meaning construction of Chinese net words from Japanese by showing the powerful explanation of the three kinds network of blending—single-scope network, double ...

Exciton Binding Energy of Phosphorescent Emitter Molecules in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Energy level alignment is key to efficient OLED design, yet determining LUMO energies remains challenging. A methodology based on field‐induced dissociation and kinetic Monte Carlo simulations is presented to extract LUMO energies of iridium‐based phosphorescent emitters from their exciton binding energy.
