Robust and Compatible Ferroelectric Memories with Polycrystalline TiO2 Channel for 3D Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Robust and monolithic 3D compatible ferroelectric memories are realized using the polycrystalline TiO2 channel‐based FeFET. The review covers physical mechanisms of the TiO2 channel FeFET, quantitative benchmarking, and advanced planar/vertical architectures for monolithic 3D integration based on HfO2‐TiO2 gate stack, offering a roadmap for reliable ...

Mechanistic Control of Cathode–Electrolyte Interphase Formation in Gel Polymer Electrolyte for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
To regulate a distinct degradation pathway introduced by residual monomers in in‐situ gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs), tris(4‐fluorophenyl)phosphine (TFPP) is coupled with a voltage hold (VH) protocol. TFPP first covers the high‐Ni cathode surface and then preferentially decomposes during the hold step, forming a cathode–electrolyte interphase (CEI ...

Managing tomato late blight

open access: yes, 2019
Late blight is caused by moulds that survive in the soil and in residues of crops that had the disease. As the disease spreads very fast, inspect your field every day. If you see sick plants, cut of the sick parts of the plant and burn the affected parts.

Synergistic Optimization of Cathode Composite Architecture and Stack Pressure for High‐Performance All‐Solid‐State Chloride‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Composite cathode engineering and stack pressure co‐optimization enable a high‐performance all‐solid‐state chloride‐ion battery based on a VOCl/CsSn₀.₉In₀.₀₆₇Cl3/In architecture, delivering 169 mAh g−1 with 500‐cycle durability. Electrode‐resolved impedance tracking via distribution of relaxation times revealed progressive interphase and charge ...

Structure and Biosynthesis of Mangotoxin Produced by the Plant Pathogen Pseudomonas syringae

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The structure of mangotoxin remained elusive for over two decades. Here, mangotoxin was isolated from the native producer, Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae, and was determined to be an alkyne‐containing dipeptide. Mangotoxin inhibited the growth of multidrug‐resistant human pathogen Klebsiella pneumoniae.

Electric Double Layer Engineering Induces O‐Down Interfacial Water Reorientation for Efficient and Long‐Term Seawater Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The additive EDTMPS inhibits hydroxides deposition by chelating with Ca2+/Mg2+. It also disrupts the hydrogen bond network of interfacial water and expands the thickness of electric double layer, promoting more free water to flip into adsorbable O‐down configuration.

ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF FUSARIUM HEAD BLIGHT IN WHEAT AND BARLEY: 1998-2000 [PDF]

open access: yes
Fusarium Head Blight (FHB), commonly known as scab, has been a severe problem for wheat and barley producers since 1993. This study provides an update of economic losses suffered by wheat and barley producers in scab-affected regions in the United States.

Surface‐Engineered Ti3C2Tx MXene/Cu2O Photocathodes for Highly Selective Photoelectrocatalytic CO2 Reduction to Ethanol

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Surface‐engineering Ti3C2Tx MXenes with an in situ‐grown TiO2 layer on the surface in combination with visible‐light‐absorbing Cu2O significantly enhances charge separation and carrier extraction while improving Cu2O resistance to photocorrosion. The resulting Cu2O/TiO2‐MXene photocathodes enable highly selective, solar‐driven ethanol production ...
