Variable observation window length blind equalization detector for underwater acoustic communication
Aiming at the influence of underwater acoustic channel (UAC) profile difference on the performance of underwater acoustic communication, a variable observation window length blind equalization detector (VOWL-BED) is proposed in this paper.

ABSTRACT In this paper, the correlation learning estimation and adaptive reduction (CLEAR) of interference, an adaptive, blind and transparent interference compensation method applied in a wideband dual‐channel receiver, is studied for a pair of independent satellite multi‐connectivity links, using the same carrier frequency and signal bandwidth in use

ABSTRACT Introduction Eustachian tube dilation (ETD) is an increasingly popular and seemingly safe method of treating ETD. We present a rare case of subcutaneous emphysema and pneumomediastinum following ETD. Methods Retrospective chart review. Patient consent was obtained for data collection, analysis, drafting, and publication of information ...

Blind Equalization Using Direct Channel Estimation [PDF]
In performing blind equalization, we propose a direct channel estimation method based on entropy-maximization of input signal with its known probability density function. That is, the proposed method estimates filter coefficients of the channel instead of equalizing filter coefficients which most of equalization methods try to estimate.

ABSTRACT This study traces how gambling in Australia changed from a simple form of leisure, enjoyed by all social classes in colonial times, to a billion‐dollar industry driven by political and economic imperatives. Using a case study, it links vertical fiscal imbalance (VFI), caused by changes to the state‐federal taxation structure, to the ...

Abstract Background and Purpose Positive allosteric modulators (PAMs) engage sites distinct from the orthosteric CB1 cannabinoid receptor binding site. GAT211, a racemic ligand, contains GAT228 (R) and GAT229 (S) enantiomers. Whether enantiomer‐mediated differences in allosteric activation or positive allosteric modulation translate into differences in
