Statistical covariance blind detection algorithm based on cholesky factorization in cognitive radio network

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2012
As the blind covariance detection algorithm has the shortcoming that the performance parameters are obtained using non-asymptotic method,a new blind detection algorithm was presented using cholesky factorization.Utilizing random matrix theory, the ...

Blind Relay Network with Viterbi Detection [PDF]

open access: yes2014 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2014
This paper compares the performance of a blind relay communication system with that of a non-blind relay communication system. For a blind system, a differential space-time block code (DSTBC) or a blind Viterbi detection is used, and for a non-blind system, a space-time block code (STBC) is used. Also, this paper takes another blind detection mechanism,

Semi-blind Turbo Detection for Multiple-input Multiple-output Wireless Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) techniques constitute the core of future high speed wireless systems. Blind detection in MIMO wireless systems conserves bandwidth and is better suited for use in multiple user scenarios.

Principal component analysis and perturbation theory–based robust damage detection of multifunctional aircraft structure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A fundamental problem in structural damage detection is to define an efficient feature to calculate a damage index. Furthermore, due to perturbations from various sources, we also need to define a rigorous threshold whose overtaking indicates the ...

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Blind Channel Estimation Using Redundant Precoding: New Algorithms, Analysis, and Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Digital signal processing (DSP) techniques have played an important role in channel equalization and estimation in communication systems. While channel equalization and estimation are usually done by pilot-assisted methods in most systems, algorithms for

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.
