Blind Recognition of Touched Keys: Attack and Countermeasures

open access: yesCoRR, 2014
In this paper, we introduce a novel computer vision based attack that discloses inputs on a touch enabled device, while the attacker cannot see any text or popups from a video of the victim tapping on the touch screen. In the attack, we use the optical flow algorithm to identify touching frames where the finger touches the screen surface.

Blind recognition of STBC based on higher-order cumulants

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2016
Aiming at the problems for blind recognition of space-time block code(STBC)in MIMO communication sys-tems,a method was exploited based on higher-order cumulants of received signals.Firstly, the model of received signals was given and the fourth-order ...

Mutual features for pattern classification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The mean of a data set is one trivial representation of data from one class. This thesis discusses mutual interdependence analysis (MIA) that is successfully used to extract moreinvolved representations, or “mutual features”, accounting for samples in ...

Speaker Recognition Improvement Using Blind Inversion Of Distortions

open access: yesCoRR, 2004
In this paper we propose the inversion of nonlinear distortions in order to improve the recognition rates of a speaker recognizer system. We study the effect of saturations on the test signals, trying to take into account real situations where the training material has been recorded in a controlled situation but the testing signals present some ...
