Determination of the suitable height at sublevel caving methods [PDF]
The paper in a short form deals with theoretical aspects of the sublevel-caving methods on iron deposits Niná Slaná and Kobeliarovo. This mining method in a stope-block use the LHD system mechanization by the all underground caving stoping technology ...

Open pit or block caving? A numerical ranking method for selection [PDF]
Mining in the 21st century is facing many challenges, among which are low-grade and high tonnage orebodies. One great (r)evolution in mining occurred in the early 20th century when Daniel Jackling proposed the concept of economies of scale for large ...

ABSTRACT We conducted two framed field economic experiments with citrus farmers in Florida, United States and soybean farmers in Argentina to investigate their willingness to coordinate pest and weed management efforts. Despite the contrast between these two agricultural contexts, we find striking behavioral commonalities.

Firm turnover under asymmetric information: Tanzania's agro‐dealer sector
Abstract We study firm turnover (i.e., entry and exit) and its consumer implications in a market characterized by asymmetric information. Using a three‐round census of agro‐dealers in Tanzania's Morogoro Region, we document annual firm entry and exit rates of 33% and 17%, respectively.

Forecasting vulnerability of deep extraction level excavations to draw-induced cave loads
Block and panel caving methods are increasingly used for mining of large and strong orebodies at large depths below the ground surface (>1 km). This paper focuses on the production phase of caving when the extraction level is fully developed and ...

DETERMINATION OF THE SURFACE COLLAPSE PROCESS PHASE CAUSED BY BLOCK CAVING MINING
The relevance of the research. Waste rock dumping in the area of the surface collapse caused by the underground mining is one of the rational methods of dumping. It contributes to saving land resources and reducing the transport path of overburden.

Exceptional preservation informs the paleobiology of tapinocephalid dinocephalians
Abstract The tapinocephalid dinocephalian Moschops is one of the most iconic taxa of the middle Permian, yet its paleobiology remains one of the least well‐known. Here, we address some aspects of paleoneurology and paleobiology of Moschops using CT scanning of four well preserved skulls from the upper Abrahamskraal Formation of South Africa. Two of the
