We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Linear Attacks on Stream Ciphers
This paper is a survey of how linear attacks can be applied on stream ciphers. It gives an overview of the development of linear attacks and a short theoretical explanation on how a linear attack on a stream cipher is typically launched today.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Finding Differential Paths in ARX Ciphers through Nested Monte-Carlo Search [PDF]
We propose the adaptation of Nested Monte-Carlo Search algorithm for finding differential trails in the class of ARX ciphers. The practical application of the algorithm is demonstrated on round-reduced variants of block ciphers from the SPECK family ...

SIPFA: Statistical Ineffective Persistent Faults Analysis on Feistel Ciphers
Persistent Fault Analysis (PFA) is an innovative and powerful analysis technique in which fault persists throughout the execution. The prior prominent results on PFA were on SPN block ciphers, and the security of Feistel ciphers against this attack has ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Reflection structure has a significant advantage that realizing decryption and encryption results in minimum additional costs, and many block ciphers tend to adopt such structure to achieve the requirement of low overhead.

Symmetric block ciphers with a block length of 32 bit [PDF]
Subject of the thesis at hand is the analysis of symmetric block ciphers with a block length of 32 bit. It is meant to give a comprising overview over the topic of 32 bit block ciphers. The topic is divided in the examination of three questions.

Apply Block Ciphers Using Tiny Encryption Algorithm (TEA)
Ciphers can be either symmetric-key or public-key. Symmetric-key ciphers are the most famous and important elements in many cryptographic systems. Individually, they provide confidentiality and privacy.

Towards distributing block ciphers computations
Providing data confidentiality for energyconstrained devices has proven to be a hard problem. Over the years many efficient implementations of well-known block ciphers, as well as a large number of new “lightweight” block ciphers, have been introduced ...
