Block copolymers and liquid crystalline block copolymers: A bird's‐eye view
Macromolecular Symposia, 1997AbstractBlock copolymers and liquid crystals are separately known to order at different length scales. Various types of molecular interactions in liquid crystalline block copolymers determine complex phase behaviors and states of order, and thereby can provide a way of tailoring the material properties.

Chain Segregation in Block Copolymers
1989The mixing of two different homopolymers leads in most cases to a two-phase blend. The main reason for this behaviour is that the combinatorial entropy of mixing is very small for chain molecules and specific interactions are required to achieve miscibility.1 Such two-phase blends are generally characterized by opacity, distinct thermal transitions for

Elastomeric Polycarbonate Block Copolymers
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1963Abstract Polycarbonate block copolymers were prepared by phosgenating pyridine solutions of polyether glycol-bisphenol-A mixtures. Copolycarbonates derived from poly(oxyethylene) glycols (Carbowaxes) were studied in detail for property-structure effects as a function of glycol molecular weight (1000–20,000) and copolymer composition (5–70 ...
