Cell density–dependent nuclear‐cytoplasmic shuttling of SETDB1 integrates with Hippo signaling to regulate YAP1‐mediated transcription

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
At low cell density, SETDB1 and YAP1 accumulate in the nucleus. As cell density increases, the Hippo pathway is gradually activated, and SETDB1 is associated with increased YAP1 phosphorylation. At high cell density, phosphorylated YAP1 is sequestered in the cytoplasm, while SETDB1 becomes polyubiquitinated and degraded by the ubiquitin–proteasome ...

Optimal Backward Perturbation Analysis for the Block Skew Circulant Linear Systems with Skew Circulant Blocks

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We first give the block style spectral decomposition of arbitrary block skew circulant matrix with skew circulant blocks. Secondly, we obtain the singular value of block skew circulant matrix with skew circulant blocks as well.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

On the Cartan matrix of Mackey algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Let k be a field of characteristic p>0, and G be a finite group. The first result of this paper is an explicit formula for the determinant of the Cartan matrix of the Mackey algebra mu_k(G) of G over k.

Fast Hessenberg reduction of some rank structured matrices

open access: yes, 2016
We develop two fast algorithms for Hessenberg reduction of a structured matrix $A = D + UV^H$ where $D$ is a real or unitary $n \times n$ diagonal matrix and $U, V \in\mathbb{C}^{n \times k}$.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Strong Laws for Urn Models with Balanced Replacement Matrices

open access: yes, 2011
We consider an urn model, whose replacement matrix has all entries nonnegative and is balanced, that is, has constant row sums. We obtain the rates of the counts of balls corresponding to each color for the strong laws to hold.

Analysis of the impact on the gravity field determination from the data with the ununiform noise distribution using block-diagonal least squares method

open access: yesGeodesy and Geodynamics, 2016
The block-diagonal least squares method, which theoretically has specific requirements for the observation data and the spatial distribution of its precision, plays an important role in ultra-high degree gravity field determination. On the basis of block-

Deficiency indices of block Jacobi matrices and Miura transformation

open access: yesSpecial Matrices, 2022
We study the infinite Jacobi block matrices under the discrete Miura-type transformations which relate matrix Volterra and Toda lattice systems to each other and the situations when the deficiency indices of the corresponding operators are the same.

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein
