Combined turbo equalisation and block turbo coded modulation
IEE Proceedings - Communications, 2003The combination of equalisation and turbo decoded M-QAM is studied. In a system of block turbo coding based on iterative decoding of a product code, equalisation is incorporated in the decoding iteration loop. Most research in this area has considered the trellis equaliser. When using a high throughput modulation trellis equalisation is impossible. The

How we implemented block turbo codes?
Annales Des Télécommunications, 2001This paper presents a block turbo decoding algorithm, from its theory to its implementation in a programmable circuit. In this study, we discuss the two prototypes realized. It will be possible to compare the complexity of the core of the process, which is the elementary decoder, thanks to the choice of essential parameters.

Turbo decoding of linear block codes
2001 IEEE Pacific Rim Conference on Communications, Computers and Signal Processing (IEEE Cat. No.01CH37233), 2002Turbo codes, due to their novel coding and decoding technique and remarkable performance, have attracted considerable interest since 1993. We consider how to use the turbo decoding principle to decode a general linear block code. We present two decoding strategies, and give an open problem.

Space-Time Block Codes Assisted by Fast Turbo Codes
2008 4th International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Mobile Computing, 2008Space-time coding is widely used in wireless communication systems to provide diversity gain and channel coding is used to increase coding gain. In this paper, we investigate a new method for turbo codes which is dividing turbo encoder and decoder into several parallel coding and decoding blocks.

Near-optimum decoding of product codes: block turbo codes
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1998Summary: This paper describes an iterative decoding algorithm for any product code built using linear block codes. It is based on soft-input/soft-output decoders for decoding the component codes so that near-optimum performance is obtained at each iteration.
