A Perspective of Multi‐Reflecting TOF MS

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (TOF MS) excels in rapid and high‐sensitivity analysis, making it a cornerstone of analytical chemistry. But as sample complexity explodes in omics studies, so does the need for higher resolving power to ensure accurate results.

Turbo Analog Error Correcting Codes Decodable By Linear Programming [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
In this paper we present a new Turbo analog error correcting coding scheme for real valued signals that are corrupted by impulsive noise. This Turbo code improves Donoho's deterministic construction by using a probabilistic approach. More specifically, our construction corrects more errors than the matrices of Donoho by allowing a vanishingly small ...

Joint k‐b space diffusion‐weighted image reconstruction and apparent diffusion coefficient fitting for diffusion‐weighted turbo‐spin‐echo imaging

open access: yesMedical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Diffusion‐weighted (DW) turbo‐spin‐echo (TSE) imaging offers improved geometric fidelity compared to single‐shot echo‐planar‐imaging (EPI). However, it suffers from low signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) and prolonged acquisition times, thereby restricting its applications in diagnosis and MRI‐guided radiotherapy (MRgRT).

VLSI Architectures for WIMAX Channel Decoders [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
This chapter describes the main architectures proposed in the literature to implement the channel decoders required by the WiMax standard, namely convolutional codes, turbo codes (both block and convolutional) and LDPC. Then it shows a complete design of a convolutional turbo code encoder/decoder system for WiMax.

Permutation Polynomial Interleavers: An Algebraic-Geometric Perspective [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
An interleaver is a critical component for the channel coding performance of turbo codes. Algebraic constructions are important because they admit analytical designs and simple, practical hardware implementation. The spread factor of an interleaver is a common measure for turbo coding applications. Maximum-spread interleavers are interleavers

Analog decoding of product codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Journal ArticleAbstract - A method is presented for analog softdecision decoding of block product codes (block turbo codes). Extrinsic information is exchanged as analog signals between component row and column decoders.

On quasi-cyclic interleavers for parallel turbo codes [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, IT-52, No 4 (2006) pp. 1732--1739., 2005
We present an interleaving scheme that yields quasi-cyclic turbo codes. We prove that randomly chosen members of this family yield with probability almost 1 turbo codes with asymptotically optimum minimum distance, i.e. growing as a logarithm of the interleaver size.

Turbocodes and their application in telecommunication systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou Turbokódů. Tyto kódy patří do skupiny samoopravných kódů, někdy též nazývaných jako dopředné korekční kódy nebo kanálové kódy. Práci lze tématicky rozdělit na dvě základní části.

Ber Analysis of Turbo Code Interleaver

open access: yes, 2015
This paper presents a low complexity interleaver design that facilitates high throughput Turbo decoding required for next generation wireless systems. When a parallel decoder structure is considered, interleaver design is the most important issue.

Performance of Turbo-Codes with Some Proposed Interleaver Schemes

open access: yesAl-Khawarizmi Engineering Journal, 2006
This paper describes a number of new interleaving strategies based on the golden section. The new interleavers are called golden relative prime interleavers, golden interleavers, and dithered golden interleavers. The latter two approaches involve sorting
