Skyrme RPA description of γ-vibrational states in rare-earth nuclei
The lowest γ-vibrational states with Kπ = 2+γ in well-deformed Dy, Er and Yb isotopes are investigated within the self-consistent separable quasiparticle random-phase-approximation (QRPA) approach based on the Skyrme functional.

Tractable Mobility Model for Multi-Connectivity in 5G User-Centric Ultra-Dense Networks
With the network densification, frequent handovers may degrade mobility reliability, cause heavy signaling load thus blocking the improvement of network capacity.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

ABSTRACT Introduction Spinal cord infarction (SCI) is a rare but devastating myelopathy, characterized by a high disability rate and an unfavorable prognosis. It has often been underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed as idiopathic transverse myelitis (ITM). This study aimed to describe the clinical features, radiological biomarkers, treatments, and functional ...

The proapoptotic protein BNIP3 interacts with VDAC to induce mitochondrial release of endonuclease G. [PDF]
BNIP3 is a proapoptotic protein that induces cell death through a mitochondria-mediated pathway. We reported previously that mitochondrial localization of BNIP3 and translocation of EndoG from mitochondria to the nucleus are critical steps of the BNIP3 ...

Epilepsy‐Associated Variants of a Single SCN1A Codon Exhibit Divergent Functional Properties
ABSTRACT Objective Pathogenic variants in SCN1A, which encodes the voltage‐gated sodium channel NaV1.1, are associated with multiple epilepsy syndromes exhibiting a range of clinical severity. SCN1A variants are reported in different syndromes, including Dravet syndrome, which is associated with loss‐of‐function, whereas neonatal/infantile‐onset ...
