In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

A comparative study of circulating tumor cell isolation and enumeration technologies in lung cancer
Lung cancer cells were spiked into donor blood to evaluate the recovery rates of the following circulating tumor cell (CTC) enrichment technologies: CellMag™, EasySep™, RosetteSep™, Parsortix® PR1, and Parsortix® Prototype systems. Each method's advantages and disadvantages are described.

Cell‐free and extracellular vesicle microRNAs with clinical utility for solid tumors
Cell‐free microRNAs (cfmiRs) are small‐RNA circulating molecules detectable in almost all body biofluids. Innovative technologies have improved the application of cfmiRs to oncology, with a focus on clinical needs for different solid tumors, but with emphasis on diagnosis, prognosis, cancer recurrence, as well as treatment monitoring.

Statistical Analysis of Behavioral Intention Towards Private Umbilical Cord Blood Banking [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a conceptual framework to identify the key dimensions affecting behavioral intention to bank umbilical cord blood in Iran. We examine the impact of awareness, reference group, usability, disease history, and price on perceived risk and behavioral intention to use umbilical cord blood banking service.

Pediatric patient with Bombay blood group: A rare case report
Bombay blood group is a rare blood group in which there is the absence of H antigen and presence of anti-H antibodies. At the time of blood grouping, this blood group mimics O blood group due to the absence of H antigen, but it shows incompatibility with

This study simultaneously investigated circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and exosomes from small‐cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients. The elevated expression of JUNB and CXCR4 in CTCs was a poor prognostic factor for SCLC patients, whereas exosomal overexpression of these biomarkers revealed a high discrimination ability of patients from healthy individuals,

ANNCRIPS: Artificial Neural Networks for Cancer Research In Prediction & Survival [PDF]
Prostate cancer is a prevalent malignancy among men aged 50 and older. Current diagnostic methods primarily rely on blood tests, PSA:Prostate-Specific Antigen levels, and Digital Rectal Examinations (DRE). However, these methods suffer from a significant rate of false positive results.

Detection of Du Antigen in Rh Negative Blood Group Individuals
Du is the weak expression of D antigen. The cells which are not immediately agglutinated by Anti-D sera cannot be easily classified as D negative because some of these agglutinate after addition of antiglobulin sera. This weak reactivity is termed as Du.
