Targeting UXS1‐Dependent Glucuronate Detoxification Potentiates Metformin's Anti‐Tumor Efficacy in Lung Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that metformin promotes glucuronic acid metabolism in lung adenocarcinoma by activating UGDH S476 phosphorylation and enhancing the conversion of UDPG to UDPGA based on metabolomics analysis. Through compound virtual screening, it is found that plantainoside targeting UGDH downstream UXS1 leads to UDPGA toxicity accumulation ...

Genome‐Wide CRISPR Screen Identifies a microRNA Orchestrating Pleiotropic Resistance to Targeted Therapy and T Cell Immunity in Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A genome‐wide microRNA CRISPR screen identifies miR‐18a as a master regulator of cross‐resistance in melanoma. Loss of miR‐18a activates the AJUBA–YAP/Hippo axis to confer BRAFi resistance and enhances THBS1–CD47 interaction to impair CD8+ T cell immunity. hnRNP A1 is identified as an upstream regulator of miR‐18a processing.

Dissecting the Ecological Structure of Health and Disease in the Global Gut Microbiome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce Wiredancer, a framework that identifies three continuous ecological factors of the gut microbiota. These factors exhibit distinct patterns across health and disease, jointly capturing disrupted ecological stability and offering a new perspective for precision diagnostics and therapeutic strategies.

Laboratory blood group examination of proteolysis degradation human blood

open access: yes, 2015
Background: Blood group examination has many purposes and one of them is identification. In several forensic cases there is incompatibility of blood group in corpse and in other evidences usually used blood group examination is serum agglutination method.

ABO and Rhesus blood groups in mothers and their newborns in Port Harcourt, Nigeria

open access: yes, 2013
Background: Blood groups are inheritable red cell antigens passed on to the next generation in a simple Mendelian pattern. The distribution of blood group antigens is fairly constant in a given population.

Canagliflozin Alleviates Diabetic Glomerular Endothelial Injury via Melibiose in a Microbiota‐Dependent Manner

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Canagliflozin treatment reshapes the gut microbiota in DKD and elevates levels of melibiose, a metabolite derived from Roseburia intestinalis. Melibiose directly binds to and enhances the enzymatic activity of glyoxalase 1, leading to decreased methylglyoxal accumulation.

Icariin Enhances the Enzymatic Activity of N‐acetylgalactosaminidase to Augment Akkermansia Abundance in Gut Microbiota for Improved PD‐1 Blockade Efficacy in Tumor Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Icariin promoted the growth of Akk by enhancing the activity of N‐acetylgalactosaminidase (Amuc_0920), which enhanced mucin utilization and provided a favorable nutrient environment for bacterial growth. This icariin‐mediated enrichment of Akk further reshaped the tumor microenvironment and promoted CD8+ T cell infiltration, ultimately synergizing with

The frequency of ABO blood group maternal-fetal incompatibility, maternal iso-agglutinins, and immune agglutinins quantitation in Osogbo, Osun State, South-West of Nigeria

open access: yes, 2011
Background : ABO incompatibility in maternal-fetal relationship has been shown to cause hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDNB); a survey which is not yet done in this locality.

m6A‐Mediated Glycolysis by IL‐37 Drives T Cell Metabolic Reprogramming to Regulate Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies an IL‐37/SIGIRR‐METTL14 regulatory axis that suppresses global m6A modification in CD4+ T cells. IL‐37 signaling, mediated through SIGIRR, inhibits IRAK4 and JNK phosphorylation, leading to downregulation of the methyltransferase METTL14.
