ABO histo-blood group system-incompatible allografting
International Immunopharmacology, 2005Most of the 29 blood group systems known today are not restricted to erythroid tissues hence their more recent identification as histo-blood group systems. Beyond the uncontested importance of the HLA system in human allograft survival, some of the histo-blood group systems might increasingly become recognised to play a role in graft-host interaction ...

Immune Desensitization Allows Pediatric Blood Group Incompatible Kidney Transplantation
Transplantation, 2017Blood group incompatible transplantation (ABOi) in children is rare as pretransplant conditioning remains challenging and concerns persist about the potential increased risk of rejection. We describe the results of 11 ABOi pediatric renal transplant recipients in the 2 largest centers in the United Kingdom, sharing the same tailored desensitization ...

[The blood group incompatible living kidney transplantation].
MMW Fortschritte der Medizin, 2007Until recently, living kidney donations between donors and recipients of different blood groups were contraindicated. Since 2004, blood group incompatible kidney transplantations have been performed in Germany. Through the use of the anti-CD20 antibody rituximab and a highly selective immunoadsorption treatment, the recipient's antibodies against the ...

ABO blood group incompatibility and primary tooth discoloration.
Pediatric dentistry, 1990A case report of discolored anterior primary teeth is presented. Medical history and clinical findings suggest an etiology of hemolytic anemia and jaundice secondary to ABO blood group incompatibility. There are no previous reports of tooth discoloration resulting from ABO blood group incompatibility.
