Metabolic profiles of cow's blood; a review
Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, 2016AbstractThe term ‘metabolic profile’ refers to the analysis of blood biochemical parameters that are useful to assess and prevent metabolic and nutritional disorders in dairy herds. In the higher standards of milk production, the priority in modern breeding is keeping dairy cows in high lactation and healthy. The proper analysis, as well as control. of

A perspective on protein profiling of blood
BJU International, 2005Protein profiling of blood is going to lead to huge changes in the development of biomarkers and perhaps also in producing targets for the medical treatment of cancer. Experts in this field from Los Angeles have written an outstanding mini‐review about this topic.

Blood metabolite profiles of broodmares and foals
Equine Veterinary Journal, 1984Summary Serum amino acid profiles and other serum characteristics of broodmares and their foals were studied. Compared with mares, foals had significantly higher concentrations of serum leucine, threonine, aspartic acid, asparagine, glutamic acid, glutamine, proline and tyrosine, glucose, cholesterol, creatinine and phosphorus.

BLOOD LIPID PROFILE IN ISCHAEMIA REPERFUSION INJURY
Australian and New Zealand Journal of Surgery, 1999Background: Lipid components are considered to play an important role in ischaemia reperfusion injury although the mechanism of their action remains unknown. Accumulation of lipid metabolites in ischaemic tissues is a consistent observation, but exactly how these lipids are cleared from the tissues by the circulating blood during reperfusion is still ...

Blood Temperature Profiles of Diving Elephant Seals
Physiological and Biochemical Zoology, 2010Hypothermia-induced reductions in metabolic rate have been proposed to suppress metabolism and prolong the duration of aerobic metabolism during dives of marine mammals and birds. To determine whether core hypothermia might contribute to the repetitive long-duration dives of the northern elephant seal Mirounga angustirostris, blood temperature profiles

Ambulatory blood pressure profiles in familial dysautonomia
Clinical Autonomic Research, 2018Familial dysautonomia (FD) is a rare genetic disease that involves extreme blood pressure fluctuations secondary to afferent baroreflex failure. The diurnal blood pressure profile, including the average, variability, and day-night difference, may have implications for long-term end organ damage.

Impact of blood sample collection methods on blood protein profiling studies
Clinica Chimica Acta, 2017Pre-analytical factors have a significant impact on the integrity of blood samples used for qualitative and quantitative protein profiling. Important factors are the type of the blood collection tube and the anticoagulant used. Only a few studies have been performed to assess these variables by comparing only serum and EDTA plasma collection tubes with
