Genetic Diversity of Cattle in South China as Revealed by Blood Protein Electrophoresis
Biochemical Genetics, 1999Genetic variation of 31 blood protein loci in 236 cattle from eight South China populations (including mithan, Bos frontalis) and a Holstein population was investigated by means of horizontal starch gel electrophoresis. Thirteen loci (ALB, CAR, Hb-b, Np, PGM, Amy-I, PEP-B, AKP, 6PGD, Cp, Pa, EsD, and TF) were found to be polymorphic.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small (∼22 nt) regulatory RNAs that are frequently deregulated in cancer and have shown promise as tissue- and blood-based biomarkers for cancer classification and prognostication. Here we present a protein-facilitated affinity capillary electrophoresis (ProFACE) assay for rapid quantification of miRNA levels in blood serum using

ELECTROPHORESIS, 1995
AbstractStudies on serum/blood samples from European otters (Lutra lutra), a species under protection in most countries, were undertaken. Building of a two‐dimensional electrophoresis (2‐DE) protein identification map was started, identifying serum proteins by pattern comparison with cat or human serum protein maps and by immunoblotting using cross ...

Capillary zone electrophoresis and high-resolution agarose gel electrophoresis were compared to detect protein components in serum and cerebrospinal fluid of patients. Both electrophoretic methods proved to be useful for detection of protein abnormalities (e.g., mono- and oligoclonal bands) in biological fluids, but capillary electrophoresis offered ...

Serum protein electrophoresis (SPE) is the first-line test for the diagnosis of monoclonal gammopathies. While agarose gel electrophoresis (AGE) has been the traditional gold standard, capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) offers potential advantages in terms of resolution and sensitivity. This study aimed to compare the diagnostic accuracy of these two
