The Application of Orthopedic Surgical Robot‐Assisted Technology in Various Clinical Scenarios Involving Bone Tumors

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, EarlyView.
Robot‐assisted surgery facilitates precise path planning and osteotomy plane identification. With the combination of an orthopedic robot and intraoperative ultrasound or the da Vinci robot, it can enhance the precision and safety of bone tumor surgery. Furthermore, it can be integrated with patient‐specific cutting guides to minimize surgical duration.

Impact of Anemia on Outcomes Following Total Hip Replacement Surgery and Patient Prognosis

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, EarlyView.
The processes involved in iron acquisition are closely controlled by hepcidin‐based regulatory mechanisms. Hepcidin is a peptide hormone mainly produced in the liver, acting as an acute‐phase reactant that responds to changes in plasma iron levels. It does this by binding to ferroportin, a protein responsible for exporting iron from cells, leading to ...

Extraarticular Knee Joint Resection: Indications, Results, and Complications in a Series of 30 Patients

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, EarlyView.
Extraarticular Knee Joint Resection is oncologically effective but carries significant functional and complication considerations. The patellar coronal osteotomy sparing the extensor mechanism (Type‐B resection) balances oncological safety and functional preservation, especially for benign aggressive tumors.
