Programmable Pneumatic Actuator System for a Bioinspired Artificial Colon
A modular soft robotic colon simulator driven by programmable pneumatic actuation is developed to mimic physiological and pathological‐like motility patterns of the large intestine. Finite element–guided design and distributed control enable anatomically realistic deformation for peristalsis, segmentation, and mass movements, supporting capsule ...

Simultaneous and non-simultaneous blow-up and uniform blow-up profiles for reaction-diffusion system
This article concerns the blow-up solutions of a reaction-diffusion system with nonlocal sources, subject to the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions.

Biodegradable and Edible Milli‐Fluidic Logic Circuits
Fully biodegradable and edible fluidic circuits are developed using gelatin‐based valves that operate at low pressure. Logic gates, a one‐bit memory, and a ring oscillator are demonstrated, showing that biodegradable materials can perform computation and control.

Blow-Up Rate Estimates for a System of Reaction-Diffusion Equations with Gradient Terms
This paper is concerned with the blow-up properties of Cauchy and Dirichlet problems of a coupled system of Reaction-Diffusion equations with gradient terms. The main goal is to study the influence of the gradient terms on the blow-up profile.

Simulation of the stretch blow moulding process: from the modelling of the microstructure evolution to the end-use elastic properties of polyethylene terephthalate bottles [PDF]
The original publication is available at www.springerlink.comThe whole stretch blow-moulding process of PET bottles is simulated at the usual process temperature in order to predict the elastic end-use properties of the bottles.

A back‐end‐of‐line‐compatible microheater platform enables localized synthesis and reversible switching of high‐quality VO2 directly on silicon photonic chips. The approach overcomes conventional thermal‐budget and patterning constraints while delivering device performance comparable to high‐temperature‐grown films, providing a scalable pathway for ...

Uniqueness and Layer Analysis for Boundary Blow-up Solutions [PDF]
We prove uniqueness for boundary blow-up solutions of the problem:Δu=λf(u) in Ω,u|∂Ω=∞, with large λ. Previous uniqueness results require a monotonicity assumption for f(u)lu in the entire range of the boundary blow-up solutions.

Blow-up in reaction-diffusion equations with exponential and power-type nonlinearities [PDF]
In this dissertation we study blow-up phenomena in semilinear parabolic equations with both exponential and power-type nonlinearities. We study the behavior of the solutions as the blow-up moment in time and the blow-up point in space are approached ...

Systems with Local and Nonlocal Diffusions, Mixed Boundary Conditions, and Reaction Terms
We study systems with different diffusions (local and nonlocal), mixed boundary conditions, and reaction terms. We prove existence and uniqueness of the solutions and then analyze global existence vs blow up in finite time.

Blow-up solutions of cubic differential systems [PDF]
We investigate the existence problem for blow-up solutions of cubic differential systems. We find sets of initial values of the blow-up solutions. We also discuss a method of finding upper estimates for the blow-up time of these solutions.
