Rational Design of Broad‐Spectrum Anti‐Enteroviral Molecular Glues Targeting Enteroviral RNAi Suppressors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By leveraging this homodimerization mechanism, molecular glues were rationally designed to induce dysfunctional 3A dimerization, thereby restoring antiviral RNAi. The optimal molecular glue, VTP‐32, demonstrated potent and pan‐enterovirus (groups A, B, D) antiviral effects.

Solid Ethanol as a Renewable, Low‐Toxicity, Electron‐Beam Direct Write, and Biomedical Material

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
3D ice lithography (3DIL) enables the fabrication of intricate submicrometer objects using ethanol as a renewable starting material. This study combines process optimization, structural and material analysis, and biomedical applications, from cell culture scaffolds to the patterning of neurostimulation electrodes, demonstrating performance in both in ...

Wireless, Adaptable and Fully Implantable Battery‐powered Devices for Optical Stimulation of the Spinal Cord in Small Rodents

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current technologies for spinal cord optogenetic stimulation rely on external power sources and face reliability constraints in freely behaving animals. Here, a fully implantable, battery‐powered optoelectronic device is introduced, enabling operation in any selected environment with wireless recharging for months‐long stimulation.

Linear and Nonlinear Perturbed Wave Equations

open access: yes, 2008
We consider several Cauchy problems for the wave equation with some perturbation. First of all, we consider the wave equation with a metric perturbation, that is, we consider the d'Alembert operator in the Schwarzschild metric (which is a model for a ...

On the blow-up rate for fast blow-up solutions arising in an anisotropic crystalline motion

open access: yes, 2003
We consider the asymptotic behavior of motion of polygonal convex curves by crystalline curvature in the plane. There appear spontaneously two types of singularity: one is single point extinction and the other is degenerate pinching.

Sticky Yet Slippery: Molecular Ordering Reconciles Bubble‐Surface Affinity With Ultralow Friction at the Nanoscale

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By engineering the molecular order and thickness of PDMS layers, we reconcile the stickiness and slipperiness during bubble transport. AFM measurements and MD simulations further reveal how these nanoscale architectures tune hydrophobic interaction FHB and friction force f.

Strongly interacting blow up bubbles for the mass critical NLS

open access: yes, 2018
International audienceWe construct a new class of multi-solitary wave solutions for the mass critical two dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLS). Given any integer K>1, there exists a global (for positive time) solution of (NLS) that decomposes

Boundary blow-up for nonlinear elliptic equations with general growth in the gradient: an approach via symmetrisation

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 2010
In this paper we give a survey of some recent results obtained via symmetrization methods for solutions of elliptic equations in the form A(u) = H(x, u, Du), where the principal term is a laplacian-type operator and H(x, u, Du) grows with respect to Du ...

Numerical approximations for blow-up problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Estudiamos el comportamiento asintótico de aproximaciones numéricas para problemas con blow-up. Probamos que al aproximar este tipo de problemas muchas veces los métodos usuales reproducen el comportamiento asintótico de la solución continua, sin embargo

A Flexible Metamaterial Absorber via Loss Engineering for Large‐Area Ultra‐Broadband Infrared Extinction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Designed and demonstrated a flexible metamaterial absorber via loss engineering for large‐area ultra‐broadband infrared extinction, providing a new method for miniaturization of absorbers and flexible optical devices. ABSTRACT The advancement of compact and wearable optical systems is critically limited by the lack of high‐performance, integrable ...
