Influence of Blowing Ratio on Flow Structures of an Inclined Jet in Crossflow

2015
This study investigates by experiment the influence of the blowing ratio (BR) on the flow structures of an inclined turbulent jet in crossflow (JICF). The experiment was conducted in a water tunnel with the jet issuing from a round nozzle inclined at streamwise-oriented 35o, practically relevant to the film cooling configuration.

Effects of blowing ratio and film hole arrangement on cavity blade tip cooling

Physics of Fluids
Blade tip leakage is responsible for reducing the aerodynamic performance and increasing the thermal load. In order to obtain better cooling efficiency, the thermodynamic performance of different film hole arrangements and blowing ratios have been compared and analyzed in a cavity tip structure.
