Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Crackdown Using IoT

2018 International Conference on Inventive Research in Computing Applications (ICIRCA), 2018
Internet of Things (IoT) is purely about connecting or linking the devices over the internet. It is internetworking of physical devices which will detect, collect, process and exchange data. As it needs to get connected over the internet, these things (devices) have an IP address associated to them.

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) based blood pressure monitoring system

2014 International Conference on Intelligent Green Building and Smart Grid (IGBSG), 2014
In this paper, we successfully developed a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) based blood pressure monitoring system, which integrated a homemade blood pressure measuring device and a smartphone. The device uses single BLE System-on-Chip to process the algorithm of blood pressure measurement and data transmission.

Crowdsensing traces using bluetooth low energy (BLE) proximity tags

Proceedings of the 2014 ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing: Adjunct Publication, 2014
Designing massive scale crowdsensing experiments using smartphones can be very challenging. In this work, we define a new approach for designing massive crowdsensing applications where we offload the burden of sensing from smartphones to low cost off-the-shelf Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) proximity tags. We discuss the usage of advertisements in BLE tags

A practical study on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) throughput

2018 IEEE 9th Annual Information Technology, Electronics and Mobile Communication Conference (IEMCON), 2018
the data rate of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is 1Mbps, and 2Mbps for BLE 4.2 and BLE 5, respectively. However, the throughput of a BLE system would be much lower since we need to account for various protocol overheads, adaptive RF connection adjustments for maintaining robust links amid interference, and protocol limitations based on BLE data exchange ...
