Longitudinal Relations Among Theory of Mind, Advanced Theory of Mind, and Executive Function From Ages Four to Seven. [PDF]

open access: yesDev Sci
ABSTRACT This longitudinal study examined the developmental relations between first‐order Theory of Mind (ToM), advanced ToM, and executive function (EF) from ages 4 to 7.5. Two‐hundred‐three German children were assessed at ages 4, 5.5, and 7.5 on measures of ToM, EF (working memory, inhibition, cognitive flexibility), general cognition, and language.

Hybrid Oxygen Enrichment and Preheating Strategy for Performance Recovery in Ultra‐Lean Micro–Trapped Vortex Combustors

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Ultra‐lean H2 micro‐combustor performance is boosted through regulated O2 enrichment and inlet preheating. A 16‐case Taguchi study (ϕ = 0.3) shows: controlled enrichment and heating increase radiative output and efficiency, but excessive O2/temperature causes flashback.

The Design and Experiment of a Spring-Coupling Electromagnetic Galloping Energy Harvester

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
In order to improve the output characteristics of the electromagnetic energy harvester in a high-speed flow field, a spring-coupling electromagnetic energy harvester (SEGEH) is proposed, based on the galloping characteristics of a large amplitude.

Mentalizing difficulties are transdiagnostic and explain links between mental health and neurodevelopmental symptoms and social adjustment in school‐aged children

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Growing evidence suggests that difficulties reasoning about others' thoughts, feelings and desires (called ‘mentalizing’ or ‘theory of mind’) cut across many mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions but studies have yet to test this claim directly.

Pengaruh Variasi Jarak Penghalang Segitiga di depan Silinder Arah Vertikal terhadap Drag

open access: yesJurnal Energi Dan Manufaktur, 2018
Salah satu cara untuk menghemat energi pada pesawat terbang dan bluff body lainnya adalah dengan mengurangi drag. Drag erat hubungannya dengan separasi aliran. Semakin awal terjadi separasi maka drag semakin meningkat.

Numerical Simulation Study on the Dynamics of Bluff-Body Flames under Oxygen-Lean Conditions

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
As modern aeroengine combustors advance towards high temperatures, afterburners are inevitably affected by diminished oxygen content in incoming flows, thus affecting combustion efficiency, instability, and flammability limits. In this study, the dynamic

Cordilleran Ice Sheet early deglaciation inferred from evolution of Late‐Pleistocene glacial Lake Dzulh Stun in east‐central British Columbia, Canada

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, EarlyView.
Abstract We document the early decay of the Late‐Pleistocene Cordilleran Ice Sheet in the central portion of the Rocky and Cariboo Mountains and the Rocky Mountain Trench in east‐central British Columbia. Glacial lakes impounded at the eastern margin of the ice sheet occupied watersheds on the west flank of the central Rocky Mountains, leaving ...

Interaction Between Vortex‐Induced Vibrations and Base Vibrations in Piezoelectric Harvesters

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In the present era, powering sensors using green energy is a significant challenge. One promising solution for the power supply of small sensors relies on piezoelectric energy harvesters excited by vortex‐induced vibrations (VIVs) generated by wind.

Permafrost Mass Wasting in Ice‐Rich Landscapes: Recent Advances (2013 to 2024) on Mechanisms, Dynamics and Impacts

open access: yesPermafrost and Periglacial Processes, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Across circumpolar permafrost regions, climate change is destabilizing ice‐rich hillslopes, increasing the frequency and magnitude of thaw‐driven mass wasting. This paper reviews recent studies (2013–2024) on thaw‐driven mass wasting, focusing on the processes, morphology and trajectories of geomorphic change and their implications for ...
