Vegetational Characteristics in Natural Habitat and Population Structure of the Endangered Plant Tigridiopalma Genus

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 4, April 2026.
First comprehensive ecological assessment of the endangered genus Tigridiopalma, covering two China endemic Plant Species with Extremely Small Populations (PSESP), T. magnifica and the newly described T. exalata. T. magnifica exhibits broader habitat diversity and understory resilience, while T.

Gastrodia elata–Derived Parishin Extracts Attenuate Aging by Modulating Oxidative Stress, Inflammation, Apoptosis, and Metabolism

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
Gastrodia elata‐Derived Parishin Extracts (GEPE) attenuates aging by modulating oxidative stress, inflammation, apoptosis, and metabolisms, highlighting its potential as a candidate for anti‐aging interventions. ABSTRACT This study investigates the anti‐aging properties of Gastrodia elata‐derived Parishin extracts (GEPE) by exploring its regulatory ...

Count Data Models With Heterogeneous Peer Effects Under Rational Expectations

open access: yesJournal of Applied Econometrics, Volume 41, Issue 3, Page 295-309, April/May 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper develops a peer effect model for count responses under rational expectations. The model accounts for heterogeneity in peer effects across groups based on observed characteristics. Identification is based on the linear model condition that requires the presence of friends of friends who are not direct friends.

Dispersal and delimitation: Phylogenomics of Connaraceae prompts revised generic delimitation in Cnestideae and reveals global biogeographic patterns

open access: yesTAXON, Volume 75, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract The tempo and mode of assembly of the world's most diverse, tropical floras remain poorly known. Evolutionary relationships within pantropical plant clades such as Connaraceae (Oxalidales, ca. 220 species) offer an opportunity to address this issue.

Phylogenomic use of low‐copy nuclear markers from genome skimming data: An example from Melastomataceae

open access: yesTAXON, Volume 75, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract The emergence of conflicting signals among different genomic regions, individual genes, and inference methods has been frequently reported in phylogenomic studies. Conflicts can occur from methodological error and biological processes, and disentangling the contribution of each putative source of discordance became a major challenge.
