Single‐Crystal Organic Field‐Effect Transistors Based on 5,15‐Bisaryl‐Tetrabenzoporphyrins: Synthesis, Structure, and Charge Transport Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study explores single‐crystal organic field‐effect transistors (SC‐OFETs) based on 5,15‐bisaryl‐tetrabenzoporphyrin derivatives. It highlights the impact of meso‐substituted groups on molecular packing and charge transport. Among the derivatives, C8Ph‐BP achieves the highest hole mobility (1.64 cm2 V−¹ s−¹) due to enhanced π‐stacking with ...

Exploring the Role of Stent Strut Geometry in Cellular Behavior: An In Vitro Chip Model to Understand In‐Stent Restenosis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
An engineered in vitro platform mimicking stent strut cross‐sectional shapes reveals how geometry influences cell behavior. Sharp‐cornered geometries promote cell proliferation and matrix alignment, while rounded shapes reduce these effects. The findings align with clinical outcomes and suggest intracellular tension as a key driver, offering a ...

Computational and Experimental Analysis of Drug‐Coated Microneedle Skin Insertion: The Mode of Administration Matters

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study investigates how the mode of application affects drug delivery from coated microneedles. Combining finite element modeling with custom 3D‐printed Franz Diffusion Cells, the researchers found that prolonged application pressure from microneedles in situ reduces drug permeation.

Development of a Miniaturized Capillary Rheometer for High Shear Rate Rheology of Dense Suspensions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This research presents a downscaled benchtop, low‐cost capillary rheometer that can characterize high shear rate rheometry of dense suspensions. The device is capable of measuring across a wide range of applicable shear rates using only a limited quantity of material and addresses a need for an accurate and affordable capillary rheometer.
