Acidosis Forces Fatty Acid Uptake and Metabolism in Cancer Cells Regardless of Genotype

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that biological acidosis, commonly observed in tumors and ischemic conditions, actively promotes the protonation of fatty acids, thereby facilitating the uptake of their neutral forms. Consequently, the preference for lipid metabolism in acid‐exposed cells does not arise from genetic reprogramming that prioritizes lipids as the ...

Microwave‐Assisted Synthesis of Cu/Co‐Based Nanoheterostructures for High‐Efficiency Alcohol Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cu/Co‐based core‐shell nanocrystals (NCs) enable efficient hybrid water splitting via methanol and ethanol oxidation (MOR and EOR), outperforming traditional oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Synthesized via a one‐pot microwave process, the NCs evolve into oxide clusters that deliver high electrocatalytic activity and stability, enabling effective ...

Bionic Multimodal Augmented Somatosensory Receptor Enabled by Thermogalvanic Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A skin‐inspired self‐powered multimodal fingertip receptor that integrates thermogalvanic hydrogels as active mechanoreceptors and thermoreceptors is proposed. By exploiting dynamic‐static thermovoltage of the hydrogel to visualize the unsteady interfacial heat conduction, different materials can be determined in 80 ms.
