A novel RBC indicator, ESI, is better than the traditional RBC indicators and is associated with CHF prevalence and in‐hospital death. RBC membrane lipidomics, Cer 18:0;O2/16:0, and LPE 18:0, are associated with plasma volume overload and MACE in CHF patients, but these plasma lipids could not.

Plasma brain natriuretic peptide and the evaluation of volume overload in infants and children with congenital heart disease. [PDF]
This study was designed to explore whether it was possible to evaluate the severity of VSD, PDA, and ASD by measuring brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) levels. We also investigated normal BNP levels in children to provide a baseline for our study.

Rapamycin alleviates heart failure via TFEB and CaMKII pathways in Syntaxin 12/13 deficient models. Stx12 deficiency causes heart failure via impaired iron trafficking to mitochondria, reducing respiratory complexes and sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+‐ATPase (SERCA).

Myocardial wall stress, cytokines, hormones, and ischemia all stimulate B-type (or brain) natriuretic peptide (BNP) gene expression. Within the myocardium, ProBNP-108, a BNP precursor, undergoes glycosylation, after which a portion is cleaved by furin ...

ALKBH5 promoted G3BP1 expression via m⁶A methylation at sites 142/173. G3BP1 interacts with YBX1 and p53, reducing their nuclear translocation and decreasing p53‐mediated SLC7A11 repression. This inhibites cardiomyocyte ferroptosis and mitigates myocardial damage during diabetic ischemia‐reperfusion injury.

Duke Forum for Law & Social Change Symposium: Keynote Address [PDF]
In this report a model was constructed in order to determine how a number of covariates influence the gross domestic product, GDP. The covariates were chosen depending on their expected influence on GDP, for example education and life expectancy.

Nazi Punks Folk Off: Leisure, Nationalism, Cultural Identity and the Consumption of Metal and Folk Music [PDF]
Far-right activists have attempted to infiltrate and use popular music scenes to propagate their racialised ideologies. This paper explores attempts by the far right to co-opt two particular music scenes: black metal and English folk.

Schematic overview showing that forkhead box O6, opposite strand (Foxo6os) acts as a “scaffold”, directly binding myosin‐binding protein‐C (MYBPC3) and recruiting protein kinase C (PKC‐α) to mediate site‐specific phosphorylation of MYBPC3. This post‐translational modification supports cardiac contraction by regulating L‐type Ca2+ channels, especially ...
