We demonstrate successful fabrication of high‐quality α‐Sn/β‐Sn planar nanostructures with arbitrary shapes by focused laser irradiation on topological Dirac semimetal α‐Sn thin films. The irradiated regions transform into atomically smooth, superconducting β‐Sn with a critical temperature of 3.7 K.

A FOREIGN BODY IN THE LARYNX OF A ONE-YEAR-OLD CHILD: CLINICAL CASE
The author report a clinical case of a one-year-old-child treatment with a foreign body (diode lamp) in the larynx. Despite the large size of the aspirated object and its location at the level of the glottis, the child was breathing independently.

GEOS-20 m cable boom mechanism [PDF]
The GEOS cable boom mechanism allows the controlled deployment of a 20 m long cable in a centrifugal force field. In launch configuration the flat cable is reeled on a 240 mm diameter drum.

Metamaterial Antennas Enhance MRI of the Eye and Occipital Brain
A radiofrequency antenna platform comprising planar and bend configurations is developed, incorporating structurally integrated epsilon‐negative metamaterial unit cells to enhance MRI. These antennas enable high‐resolution in vivo human MRI of the eye, orbit, and occipital brain. Comprehensive validation, including simulations, phantom experiments, SAR,

Single‐Chromophore Homojunction Organic Solar Cells: A Path to Simplicity and Efficiency
This perspective discusses how the intrinsic optoelectronic properties of organic semiconductors, their molecular packing in the solid‐state, and internal energetic gradients within a device can enable free‐charge carrier generation in homojunction organic solar cells.

Gallium phosphide high temperature diodes [PDF]
High temperature (300 C) diodes for geothermal and other energy applications were developed. A comparison of reverse leakage currents of Si, GaAs, and GaP was made. Diodes made from GaP should be usable to 500 C.

Holographic microlithography enables the fabrication of fully connected 3D liquid crystalline structures in a single exposure. The process maintains precise control over the director orientation within the entire object, preventing local director distortions typically observed in sequential printing.

Self-collimated unstable resonator semiconductor laser [PDF]
Self-collimation of the output is achieved in an unstable resonator semiconductor laser by providing a large concave mirror M sub 1 and a small convex mirror M sub 2 on opposite surfaces of a semiconductor body of a material having an effective index of ...
