Economic Factors and Body Weight: An Empirical Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
With this study, we investigate the effects of changes in economic factors on body weight by constructing a utility theoretic model. The model is empirically estimated by combining data on individuals’ body weight, demographic and physical activity ...

A survey of Height and Weight of Students Aged 11-17 Years in Hamadan

open access: yesپزشکی بالینی ابن سینا, 1998
Normal growth is the best indicator of children’s health and well-being. Measuring height and weight is the simplest way of eveluation of growth. In this study the height and weight of 1481 students of Hamadan aging 11-17 was measured and analyzed.

Relationships between body condition score, body weight and body measurements in alpacas

open access: yesIrish Veterinary Journal
Background The nutritional status in alpacas is often masked by their dense fibre coat. Its assessment is commonly approached by different body condition scores (BCS) that rely on manual palpation of defined anatomical regions.

Assessing proton plans with three different beam delivery systems versus photon plans for head and neck tumors

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To compare plan quality among photon volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and intensity‐modulated proton therapy (IMPT) with robustness using three different proton beam delivery systems with various spot size (σ) ranges: cyclotron‐generated proton beams (CPBs) (σ: 2.7–7.0 mm), linear accelerator proton beams (LPBs) (σ: 2.9–5.5 mm),

Does dose calculation algorithm affect the dosimetric accuracy of synthetic CT for MR‐only radiotherapy planning in brain tumors?

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study compares the dosimetric accuracy of deep‐learning‐based MR synthetic CT (sCT) in brain radiotherapy between the Analytical Anisotropic Algorithm (AAA) and AcurosXB (AXB). Additionally, it proposes a novel metric to predict the dosimetric accuracy of sCT for individual post‐surgical brain cases.
