In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Relationships between cord blood leptin and ghrelin levels, milk intake and weight gain in human infants [PDF]
Leptin and ghrelin are hormones involved in the regulation of appetite and adiposity. Leptin suppresses appetite and induces weight loss; ghrelin stimulates appetite and promotes weight gain.

INCREASING INFANT’S BODY WEIGTH WITH INFANT EXERCISE
Introduction: Infant body weigth is used as a best indicator to measure infant growth and nutritional status. Body weight that not related on age, does not gain at least 500-600 gram for about three months, or over body weight, can be used to predict ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Lifestyle interventions for overweight and obese pregnant women to improve pregnancy outcome: systematic review and meta-analysis [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Overweight and obesity pose a big challenge to pregnancy as they are associated with adverse maternal and perinatal outcome. Evidence of lifestyle intervention resulting in improved pregnancy outcome is conflicting.
