Transnational cultural identity through everyday practices of foraging and consuming local wild plants among Vietnamese migrants in Japan and Germany

open access: yesCulture, Agriculture, Food and Environment, Volume 46, Issue 2, Page 77-87, December 2024.
Abstract Wild plant consumption confronts a decline in terms of natural resources, traditional knowledge and mainstream engagement, despite efforts to integrate it into global diets. However, migrants, whose culinary traditions and lifestyle are often grounded in foraging practices, represent an underexplored resource in this regard.

Anti‐seasonal flooding drives substantial alterations in riparian plant diversity and niche characteristics in a unique hydro‐fluctuation zone

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2024.
The anti‐seasonal water level fluctuation significantly reduced the species diversity of the hydro‐fluctuation belt. Abstract Human‐induced disturbances such as dam construction and regulation have led to widespread alterations in hydrological processes and thus substantially influence plant characteristics in the hydro‐fluctuation zones (HFZs).

Impact of transforming karst mountainous forests into urban parks on plant diversity patterns

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2024.
In this article, we investigated the impact of converting karst mountainous forests into urban parks on woody plant diversity and composition in a subtropical Chinese city undergoing rapid urbanization. Our research distinguishes itself from previous work in two main ways: first, we assessed the differences in diversity and species composition of woody

Endangered status and threatened population ecological factors in Salvia daiguii, an endemic species from Hunan, China

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2024.
Currently, Salvia daiguii is distributed in three populations, with total of about 500 plants and less than 250 mature individuals. Habitat OM and pH are indicators that significantly affect the growth and flowering of S. daiguii. Competition for niche characteristics of dominant plants in the community affects the growth and dispersal of S.

Suplementasi Nutrien Defisien untuk Meningkatkan Penggunaan Daun Rami (Boehmeria nivea, L. Gaud) dalam Ransum Domba

open access: yesMedia Peternakan, 2007
A research to improve ramie leaf utilization in local sheep ration by supplementation of deficient nutrients was conducted. Four rations as treatments were tested using 12 local sheep (16.5 ± 1.6 kg LW) in a block randomized design.

Cloning and functional analysis of Gb4CL1 and Gb4CL2 from Ginkgo biloba

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 17, Issue 2, June 2024.
Abstract 4‐Coumarate‐CoA ligase (4CL) gene plays vital roles in plant growth and development, especially the regulation of lignin metabolism and flavonoid synthesis. To investigate the potential function of 4CL in the lignin biosynthesis of Ginkgo biloba, this study identified two 4CL genes, Gb4CL1 and Gb4CL2, from G. biloba genome.
