Spatiotemporal Evolution Characteristics of Time‐Delay Ecological Competition Systems with Food‐Limited and Diffusion

open access: yesComplexity, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
In this paper, we put forward a time‐delay ecological competition system with food restriction and diffusion terms under Neumann boundary conditions. For the case without delay, the conditions for local asymptotic stability and Turing instability are constructed.

A Viral Infection Model with a Nonlinear Infection Rate

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2009
A viral infection model with a nonlinear infection rate is constructed based on empirical evidences. Qualitative analysis shows that there is a degenerate singular infection equilibrium.

Takens-Bogdanov bifurcation of travelling wave solutions in pipe flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The appearance of travelling-wave-type solutions in pipe Poiseuille flow that are disconnected from the basic parabolic profile is numerically studied in detail.

Slow–fast Bogdanov–Takens bifurcations

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2011
The paper deals with smooth families of slow-fast systems that represent a very general class of singular perturbation problems near a turning point. The authors introduce the notion of slow-fast Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation and provide a complete study of the perturbations from planar vector fields having a line of zeros, representing the singular ...

The Stability Analysis and Transmission Dynamics of the SIR Model with Nonlinear Recovery and Incidence Rates

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
In the present paper, the SIR model with nonlinear recovery and Monod type equation as incidence rates is proposed and analyzed. The expression for basic reproduction number is obtained which plays a main role in the stability of disease‐free and endemic equilibria.

Bogdanov-Takens resonance in time-delayed systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We analyze the oscillatory dynamics of a time-delayed dynamical system subjected to a periodic external forcing. We show that, for certain values of the delay, the response can be greatly enhanced by a very small forcing amplitude.

Hopf bifurcations for an oversteer vehicle – the influence of wheel load changes

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 21, Issue 1, December 2021., 2021
Abstract In [1] the occurence of a Hopf bifurcation at steady‐state cornering for a two‐wheel oversteering vehicle with a brush model for the tyre forces was found and following the bifurcating branch of periodic solutions we observed a Canard phenomenon and relaxation oscillations, which are typical for singularly perturbed systems. In that article we

Bifurcation of an SIRS Model with a Modified Nonlinear Incidence Rate

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
An SIRS epidemic model with a modified nonlinear incidence rate is studied, which describes that the infectivity is strong at first as the emergence of a new disease or the reemergence of an old disease, but then the psychological effect will weaken the ...

Operational Parameter Study of Aircraft Dynamics on the Ground [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The dynamics of passenger aircraft on the ground are influenced by the nonlinear characteristics of several components, including geometric nonlinearities, the aerody- namics and interactions at the tyre-ground interface.

Effects of a localized beam on the dynamics of excitable cavity solitons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We study the dynamical behavior of dissipative solitons in an optical cavity filled with a Kerr medium when a localized beam is applied on top of the homogeneous pumping.
