Constant enzymatic in situ production of H2O2 for an Unspecific Peroxygenase by an L‐amino acid oxidase

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Accepted Article.
Unspecific Peroxygenases have been the subject of a lot of research in the recent past as they offer opportunities for green hydroxylation reactions using hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as donor. A striking problem of UPOs is their low stability against their own co‐substrate H2O2.

Toward Sustainable Photocatalysis: Addressing Deactivation and Environmental Impact of Anodized and Sol–Gel Photocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
A life‐cycle evaluation of TiO2 photocatalysts for water purification compares the effectiveness of Sol–Gel vs anodic oxides in tetracycline mineralization, targeting deactivation, regeneration, and environmental impact from a cradle‐to‐grave perspective.

Metabolic‐Immune Suppression Mediated by the SIRT1‐CX3CL1 Axis Induces Functional Enhancement of Regulatory T Cells in Colorectal Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study discovers that SIRT1, a hub gene involved in glucolipid metabolic conversion in colorectal carcinoma (CRC), stimulates CX3CL1 secretion in CRC cells by activating FOXO1. The CX3CL1‐CX3CR1 signaling promotes the differentiation of TCF7+ regulatory T cells (Tregs) into an enhanced immunosuppressive TNFRSF9+ Treg phenotype.
